Fret is a free tool for learning and practising music. Use it as it's meant to be used, keep your own backups, and only paste or share things you're allowed to.
Fret is free to use for your own learning, practice and music-making. By using it you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
The songs, lyrics and chord charts you write or paste stay on your device. Fret doesn't host, publish or review them. You're responsible for having the right to use anything you put in, for example the lyrics of a song you didn't write. Share links contain the song itself, so only share what you're allowed to share.
Fret's own examples are original. Fret doesn't store users' songs on a server, so there's nothing stored here to take down. If you believe something connected with Fret infringes your rights, please get in touch using the contact details on this site and we'll look into it.
Because everything is stored on your device, Fret can't recover anything you lose, for example if you clear your browser data or lose your phone. Use Back up all regularly and keep the file somewhere safe.
Fret is provided as it is, without promises. Chord names and shapes, the tuner and the practice tools can be wrong or imperfect, so use your own ears and judgement. To the extent the law allows, Fret and the person who makes it aren't responsible for any loss or damage from using it, including lost data.
Please don't try to break, overload or misuse the website, or use it to break the law.
Fret may change, add or remove features, or end altogether, and these terms may be updated. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. Using Fret after a change means you accept it.
